This is very important .

Every registered patient aged 70 years and older of the  is entitled to attend FREE of charge – Once you have applied for and received your Doctor Visit Card .

This is not means tested .

If you do not register you will continue to pay a fee. A Medical Card OR Doctor Visit Card must be produced in surgery to avail of the FREE visits.

The HSE will not automatically issue you a card.

You need to register yourself as per instructions on the HSE website.
