It is generally better to phone the surgery especially if you require a prompt response and never email an urgent medical query or personal information .
3. Please use our online booking option available on the home page .You can book your appointment for the next available free appointment even when the surgery is closed .
Very important message :
Like all Gp surgeries we are very busy and doing our best .
We will always prioritise urgent medical complaints , the very young and the elderly .
If your medical issue is less urgent / ongoing please be patient as your appointment date is likely to take a few days .
You generally need to be flexible with regard to which Doctor you see – but the earlier you book your appointment the more likely you are to see the doctor of your choice .
We have a policy of dignity , kindness and empathy in the Practice and expect this is to be adhered to by everyone who enters the Medical Centre .

Please let us know your name, adderss, date of birth, the medications you require, the pharmacy you wish your prescription to be sent to and the number of repeats you require.
There is a €15 charge for all private prescriptions, which must be paid in advance by phoning the surgery on 051-877317 / 875338
Please allow 48 hours before checking with your pharmacy.

(Please note – We have limited capacity to accept new Medical Card Patients. Frequently due to work pressure and to ensure a safe service we pause signing on new applicants.)
It generally takes 2 weeks to receive test results . If you have not heard from the Doctor or Nurse after this time please phone the surgery to speak to the Practice Nurse

If a patient is too ill / invalid to get in to the surgery, please let the doctor know and a house call may be arranged at the doctor’s discretion. It is better for the patient and the medical staff for a patient to come to the surgery if at all possible.
Please call the surgery and advise the receptionist the nature of your emergency. The receptionist will put you onto the doctor, nurse or give you appropriate advice. Out of hours emergencies can be directed to Caredoc on 0818300365. Alternatively, phone 999 for emergency services.
Existing patients of the Practice seeking a GMS or Doctor Visit Card need to apply to the HSE – nominating your chosen Doctor / Practice.
The appropriate Medical Card forms can be downloaded from the HSE or a form can be obtained from reception for completion.

Its is always quicker to apply on line .
Patients may drop the form into the surgery to get a doctor’s signature and be collected in 48 hours.
